Ebon - Sleepless 2 (Original Tribal Mix)
Ebon consists of the husband and wife duo from Kansas, Justin and Melinda Whedon. Sleepless 2 is a dark, tribal affair with funky percussion interlaced with delayed/echoed female vocals. The track takes on a significant twist in the second half, giving it a more ominous vibe. The clever use of vox and the groovy bass-line really give this track a deep and dirty groove. It has received good support and has featured on James Zabiela's Sound In Motion compilation.

Evan Marcus - Fallen
Evan Marcus has been producing some quality breaks, including Ten Feet From Heaven that received huge support from Jonathan Lisle and Chris Fortier. This release, Fallen, is on a progressive/tribal tip. Here he creates a sinister, unpromising monster with mystique. Moody atmosphere, spooky vox and fx coupled with intricate drum patterns build up the energy well. The breakdown is like a volcano prior to erupting, constantly building up before finally releasing the pressure in pounding progressive style.

This is a very good release by CP Recordings, with both tracks destined to destroy dance-floors at peaktime all the time!
