Globetrottin' Dutchmen Makcim and his production partner Managemend return with a brand new jam on the hailed Remote Area label. This release is a fine example of the boys' trademarked sound: Nasty jackin' house music, not for the minimal minded.

The two-track release opens with Boyism, a stomping, fat funking house gem with punchy kicks, dirty bass-lines and vocal snippets. The combination of well balanced, full throttle elements make this an authentic house cut that's nowhere near the soulless minimal that's dominating house music these days, but instead goes along the lines of Pitto's Feelin' (2009). And that's exactly what makes this a track to play over and over again. Max floor damage, word! Red Afternoon on the flip-side is of equal quality, but comes with a richer rhythm (including some great vocal snippets) and even nastier bass sounds. Using surprising twists and breaks, the tune continues to rock without encountering a single dull moment. Brilliant.

Boyism is an impressive EP on which Makcim & Managemend deliver two ace cuts carrying a spicy house funk that's not often heard these days. A red hot floor destroyer well worth your green.
