Balance Record Pool founder, DJ/producer Chris Fortier has been a major force in the American dance music industry for years. Having learnt his craft through long sets at his various residencies during his days in Central Florida and later at Twilo in New York, Chris is an old school DJ in the truest sense of the word. With his peak time set in the 365LIVE! arena at this weekend's Rockit Open Air Festival looming, it was time for 365Mag to speak exclusively to perhaps one of most influential American's in dance music.

Chris has been touring the world relentlessly after the release of the critically acclaimed Bedrock: Compiled and Mixed compilation, and this weekend finds himself headlining the Rockit festival in Maarsen, Utrecht, Holland. Chris will perform in the 365LIVE! arena alongside an array of top artists, a stage perfect for him to close the night with an onslaught of the very latest in cutting-edge global dance sounds.

We at 365Mag caught up with Chris to find out more about the man's musical past, present and future and his thoughts on playing at this weekend's Rockit festival.
