HYBRID'S NEW STUDIO ALBUM HITS THE MARKET

' ...the progressive break-beat style Hybrid are famed for has been augmented by more classical elements... ' | Hybrid is a pair of Welsh boys who must be some of the hardest working lads in dance music. Since the release of their first album, Wide Angle, in 1999 the duo have toured extensively, including a set of gigs across the US with Moby; remixed for a host of huge names, everyone from Alanis Morrisette, and Jean Michelle Jarre to UNKLE and The Orb; worked on the scores of films like Man on Fire and Kingdom of Heaven; and found time to release the critically acclaimed Morning Sci-Fi album. Now Mike Truman and Chris Healings are set to drop their third studio album, I Choose Noise, due to be released on Distinct'ive Records in November. The record is a culmination of all the work that the boys have undertaken up to now. It is heavily influenced by the duo's love of film scores; they even enlisted Hollywood composer, Harry Gregson-Williams, whose previous work includes the music for The Chronicles Of Narnia and Shrek. Thus, the progressive break-beat style Hybrid are famed for has been augmented by more classical elements, provided by the 36-piece Seattle Orchestra. Mike and Chris also brought in a host of other stars to collaborate. Most famous is rock legend Perry Farrell, of Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros fame, who lends his unique vocal talents to a track called Dogstar. Peter Distephano, another member of Porno For Pyros, has also been involved in the production, laying down guitar music on much of the album. Other vocal collaborations come from Kirsty Hawkshaw (of Orbital, Opus III and BT) and John Graham from Quivver. To ensure all this talent didn't go to waste Hybrid employed the skills of engineer John Dent, whose custom built studio has seen people like PJ Harvey, Kasabian and even Kylie Minogue working in it. Even after all this the lads refuse to take a break: they've co-wrote three tracks for Perry Farrell's much anticipated Satellite Party CD, and are working on the music and sound design of another film, Déjà vu. On top of this, Hybrid plan to continue their global tour, with live shows and DJ dates in Australia, USA, Asia, Europe and the UK. Phew! Track List
