NEW AIR ALBUM DUE NEXT YEAR

'We keep on changing our sound, in order not to get bored' -Air | The French duo Air has announced to release its seventh studio album entitled Pocket Symphony next year. The new album is the official follow-up of Talkie Walkie, an adventurous album featuring the band's well-known poppy electronica with chill-out elements. Pocket Symphony is said to become an extraordinary piece of work on which the group experiments with somewhat unusual instruments, like the Japanese Koto, a harp-shaped instrument, and Shamisen, which is comparable to a three-snared banjo. Improvisation and musical development is a must according to the band. “We keep on changing our sound, in order not to get bored” Air group members Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Nicolas Godin have been involved in music since 1995. Their sound is often described as a laid-back blend of pop music, vocals, jazz and electronica, resulting in many licensing requests for documentaries and movies. International success was claimed with the release of their second album Moon Safari, which included chart toppers All I Need and Kelly Watch The Stars. Their discography furthermore includes the official soundtrack of the 1999 movie The Virgin Suicides and the albums 10000Hz Legend and Talkie Walkie. Last September, Air released a mix album as a part of the Late Night Tales series. Pocket Symphony track-list:
