'Now their first mix compilation entitled Clubgame is out on Invent Records and their latest track Prescreen is being remixed by Nick Muir.'

(Amsterdam, NL) - There are few outfits in dance music that can be recognized by simply whispering their CV. Flashback to the the mid 90s - Paul Oakenfold takes the time to run a test pressing of your first track for his Perfecto Label - now you know that your career in dance has begun.

Since 1998, and with Oaky's blessing, the outfit known as Inkfish has been featured in over 60 globally mixed compilations by some of the most highly respected DJs in the industry with labels including Renaissance and Moonshine Music to name a few. Singles wise, the boys have had over 40 productions and remixes have been released on some of the finest labels of today including Armada, Baroque, Silver Planet, SOG Records.

Hailing from Sweden, Inkfish is a production team of four friends that include Mattias Lindblom, Jesper Lindquist, Andreas Hermansson and Johan Hermansson. It all started around 1996 when the two brothers used to run illegal clubs in a little city half way between Stockholm and Norway called Borlãnge. They eventually felt the need to further their creative juices and teamed up with Mattias Lindblom & Jesper Lindquist. Thus Inkfish was born.

Cut to 2006. An Inkfish global tour, which took in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil and will include Asia and Eastern Europe is underway. Now with their first mix compilation Clubgame out on Invent Records and their latest track Prescreen being remixed by Nick Muir and charted by Hernan Cattaneo, the guys are finding it hard to keep up with some their booking requests. Despite the success, the Swedes are keeping their feet on the ground, turning down the inevitable commercial offers that come their way.

So in the midst of a busy schedule, Inkfish's Johan Hermansen makes time to speak with 365Mag.
