SATOSHI TOMIIE MIXES MASTER SERIES 9

'I really wanted to create an accurate portrayal of my club sets... I felt it important the segue throughout each disc worked, almost as if they were two seventy- minute songs in their own right.' - Satoshi Tomiie | Fresh from the success of launching the 3D series, Satoshi Tomiie returns to Renaissance to deliver the next installment in the prestigious Masters series. This album is the ninth in the set, with the New York-based DJ/producer following in the footsteps of Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman and Sandy Riveria in recent times. From his first explosion onto the scene in the late 80s with the famed Frankie Knuckles collaboration entitled Tears through to more recent work on his own SAW label, Satoshi has stuck to his sound of deep atmospheric sounds but has not forgotten his soulful roots. Over the two discs Satoshi weaves a twisted, magical path that blends house favourites such as King Britt, DJ Yellow and D'Julz alongside exciting contemporary acts such as Shlomi, Aber, Radioslave, Guy Gerber and Jim Rivers. Satoshi also adds his own production under his Opus Ink guise, a co-production with Audiofly. Satoshi himself said: "I really wanted to create an accurate portrayal of my club sets, but, further to this impression, I felt it important the segue throughout each disc worked, almost as if they were two seventy-minute songs in their own right." The album touches down on Renaissance on 12th March 2007. |
