'Herr Ring has been aided in his Walls venture by many fellow talented artists who all chipped in with their flair.'

(Berlin, DE) - Berlin based Apparat aka Sascha Ring is back once again with his second artist album in a year. The first, in tandem with Ellen Allien, was the critically acclaimed Orchestra of Bubbles. The album was a fusion frenzy of electro, techno and pop. He toured all around the world with Allien, mesmerizing people with their moving music. Even though it's been one hell of a hectic year for the Shitkatapult co-founder, he has managed to squeeze in time to pen tracks for a follow up to his debut 2003 LP Duplex.

Walls is a collation of Apparat's productions from the last two years or so: 'It's more of a last-two-years of Apparat compilation' he states, as a result of which 'This record isn't really a focused and conceptual production'. He then points out that when listening to the album it doesn't have a Jekyll and Hyde feel to it, rather 'creating a kind of single, sustained mood'. Herr Ring has been aided in his Walls venture by many fellow talented artists who all chipped in with their flair.

Not A Number kicks off proceedings melodiously with welcoming and stirring strings by Complexácord (who collaborated with Apparat on his Sizilium EP). This composition cultivates an entrancing and ethereal start. Hailin From The Edge changes the mood dramatically to the opposite end with a darker, dejected feel to it. Raz Ohara's vocal talents are prominent in this track, his first of four songs on Walls. Useless Information has got a cosmic and conceptual touches to it, the trance-like riff coupled with the moving strings transport you into the desolate sound-scape. Limelight is a classic Apparat production and one of the standout tracks on Walls. Ardent and awe-inspiring, it really does grab the limelight!
