(New York City, USA) - One of the most prolific artists of this decade has teamed up with Resonant Vibes to offer a unique contest for aspiring producers.

Damon Fonooni aka Habersham has releases on such labels as Global Underground and Audio Therapy and was responsible for the remix (Habersham's Mah Sivve Mix of The Unthinkable by Pat Fosheen) that shook the progressive world and made DJ's the likes of John Digweed take note. This time he's shaking up the way production contests are run by having producers download a 30 MB demo pack of his own loops and samples from Resonant Vibes to create an original track. The winner of the competition will receive prizes worth over $750 and have his or her track remixed by Habersham and released on Lobotomy Records.

The contest is being used to promote the launch of the SoundTheory series. According to their website, The Resonant Vibes SoundTheory series represents a new milestone in electronic music production. Unlike other genre-themed sample collections on the market today, SoundTheory 01 breaks new ground by giving you the sound of one of the industry's most innovative and highly respected producers: Habersham. Producers have the option of purchasing the complete SoundTheory collection or one of two individual packs - Drum and Synth Loops or Mixed Sounds. Habersham had this to say about the release, “I have spent countless hours sculpting over 600 megs of the highest quality, mastered, 24-bit sounds to bring my character and production ear to your music and creations.
