(London, UK) - No, he hasn't got a body to get rid of; the only destruction Mr Howells will be doing is of the bass-bins in The End on Saturday 11 August. He's running the main room of the club all night long, a privilege accorded to very few - mainly because very few can manage it.

It takes skills, great records and a certain sense of individuality to play for the whole night at The End. Danny Howells can tick all those boxes, as anyone who witnessed his 80s set at the Electric Gardens festival will witness. We're not saying he'll be abandoning his house and techno for some 80s grooves all night long at his residency at The End, but we are saying that you can judge a DJ by the skill he shows when he's playing outside of his usual comfort zone. After that performance, Mr Howells reminded a lot of people why he's good enough to host his Dig Deeper residency at The End. There are a lot of good DJs out there, but very few people can flip it like him, going from the prog that made his name to the newest, most experimental electronic music… and you never know, maybe some of those 80s beats he likes so much. It's not all about Culture Club, thank God, so just relax and enjoy the show.

Over in AKA, the Berlin-based Sonar Kollectiv fly in to drop warm, deep and thoroughly beautiful beats for you. They've got Truby Trio's Roland Appel, the jazz-inflected Slope and the Warm residents playing along too.
