(New York City, USA) - Many of us are painfully aware of how long it has taken for Laurent Garnier to return stateside! Some of us are even counting down the minutes. So by all accounts, this is his first US tour in over 3 years! Many of you may be aware of Laurent Garnier's US VISA drama over the years that have kept him from us. Back in February 2005, USA Visa procedure forced Laurent Garnier to cancel his tour.

Of course those of us who worship Garnier and deem him worthy of the highest DJ praise surely remember a postal truck hijacking and other various visa issues that led to previous tour cancellations.

Laurent Garnier's recently released Live album Public Outburst is a series of live recordings and sessions whereby from the summer of 2006 featuring his live band. The band consists of Bugge Wesseltoft and Benjamin Rippert on keyboards, and Philippe Nadaud on brass and brings Laurent's unmistakable brand of techno into the live arena with the quartet jamming and improvising as jazz musicians. The quartet has created new tracks and jams as well as teasing us with a few classics from the vaults. Just imagine 'Man With a Red face' with a live saxophone [as seen at I Love Techno 2006 in Belgium] and you can start getting the idea of how potent this new combo really is.
