365 EVENT REVIEW: FULL SPECTRUM BORDER COMMUNITY NIGHT AT PATRONAAT (23-11-07)

This time, 'the king of the pixies' was invited over to Patronaat in Haarlem, a city north of Amsterdam. | (Haarlem, NL) - It is always a special occasion when border community strikes Holland. As the schedule of James Holden has literally been exploding after joining Frankfurt's global Cocoon agency, his Dutch gigs have been scarce as of late, often reserved exclusively to festival audiences. Full spectrum was one of the first dutch organizations to really embrace the more experimental sounds of border community, and has maintained a close relationship ever since. Over the last few years, Nathan fake has been a regular, every January in Utrecht's mini Ekko venue, but it was about time that Mr border community himself, James Holden, returned for a more intimate musical treat. This time, 'the king of the pixies' was invited over to Patronaat in Haarlem, a city north of Amsterdam. Haarlem may be small compared to Amsterdam, but fact is that Patronaat can live up to the capital's main venues, when it comes to the size, the quality of the building and the sound.
