"I¹m not just thinking about the club dance-floor, but also about the musical experience", says Omid.

(Amsterdam, NL) - Almost ten years after his debut album Sounds From Another Room and seven years after its follow-up How To Live A 100 Years, UK progressive star Omid 16B is about to release his third album entitled Like 3 Ears And 1 Eye. The package, now fully released on SexOnWax, is an overview of Omid's musical progression and embodies 17 new works that exceed the label of progressive only. Omid's new album is a journey on itself.

The package comes with two CD's, and unlike many progressive albums, this is not one that is made especially for the dance-floors. "I¹m not just thinking about the club dance-floor, but also about the musical experience", says Omid. "I love music, how it can make our emotions flow; how it can change the way we think; the way we love; the way we express ourselves." The first CD starts off with the entrancing Eyes In Disguise, a ten minute track with thick electro bass-lines, punchy kicks and lots of exciting breaks. Throbbing basses support a sequence full of synth waves and basic melodies, while variation comes in the form of spacey breaks. The overall production of this one is outstanding, and although the track is quite repetitive and a bit long, it definitely is a solid opener. MK 8 comes with another load of stomping beats but is slightly louder. An uptempo rhythm guides the track into a series of oldschool strings, synths and low down bass-lines. The bass-line might be a bit simple. but it gives the bass-line exactly what it needs: rock and roll power. With vicious claps and nervous percussion making up a great rhythm, this one's a major progressive dance-floor smasher full of amazing sounds and a great production. Up next is a track that reminisces of the oldschool days of house music. cHanging Change is a track that sounds like it was produced in 1993, but is still able to convince due to the nifty use of futuristic elements. Using lots of broken beats, drums, breaks and vintage sequencing, Omid manages to create a captivating track that combines the old days with the sound of today. Impressive.
