(London, UK) - Bestival's combination of fancy dress and superb music of every style has made it an award-winning addition to Britain's festival calendar. This year, the September event that typically ends festival season will bring Jamie Lidell, Aphex Twin, George Clinton, the Human League, CSS, 808 State and 365mag's new fave Christopher D Ashley to Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight. Start planning your costumes now, it's sounding bloody good so far!

Between Friday 5th and Sunday 7th September, something very strange is happening to the Isle of Wight. The picturesque holiday destination your Mum's so fond of is putting on fancy dress, encouraging you to do the same, and having a huge party with the aid of Rob Da Bank and his crew from Sunday Best Recordings.

Of particular note this year is the appearance of Aphex Twin at the Robin Hill Country Park, in an exclusive festival appearance. The acid / electronica one shares the bill with funk legend George Clinton, and indie favourites My Bloody Valentine perform for the first time in 15 years. Electro innovator Gary Numan hits the main stage too, while the 'legends line-up' also contains the Human League, playing all their Dare album in the Big Top, then presenting their hits on the main stage, and Lee 'Scratch' Perry showcasing his skills as the godfather of reggae. Plus 808 State bring back all those rave memories in a fine nod to 20 years of acid house.

The 'new school' is equally well-represented, with our new fave Christopher D Ashley leading a pack that includes Pendulum (live D'n'B: a must-see), Foals punk-funking it up a treat, Warp's king of electronic soul Jamie Lidell, Sinden & Hervé Metronomy and many, many more…
