(Richmond Upon Thames, UK) - Carl Cox and Yousef got to know each other when the younger Liverpudlian played at the King Of Club parties at Space, one of the busiest nights on the island every in summer. Thus, the decision to re-work Coxy's classic Perfecto track from 1991, I Want You Forever, was just a natural progression of the two DJs burgeoning personal and professional friendship.

Included in the first remix package is Yousef's mix, which updates the techno classic to make it more reminiscent of the techno that both its remixer and its original author play today. But while Yousef's 'Tribute' mix owes a lot to the original, the Deadmau5 mix is an altogether bleepier affair that's maybe less of a prime-time piece.

That could certainly not be said of the Jewel Kid and Aspin & Dipace mixes, both of which were done by Beatport remix competition winners .Both of these are pure prime time house, just the kind of thing Tongy or Morillo will be ready, willing and able to rinse out.

Finally though, is the second remix package which features versions by DJ Marky and A Sides and Fabio & Grooverider. True to his multi-genre past, as well as the various genres that soundtrack his parties at Space every Summer, Coxy's got the best bass-heads in the business in to mix up a storm. The former is an almost hardcore-like bass-fest of high speed break-beats that wouldn't have been out of place at Fabio and Grooverider's seminal Rage club, when in turn their mix utilises old school piano breaks and filtered disco funk to showcase the versatility of this evergreen track. Behind the choral samples and the soaring synths it's hard not to smile, just the way the big man intended.
