(London, UK) - Fat Tony's most recently claim to fame in clubland has been being linked to Sunday morning afters at The Egg, but whether you like or loathe his funky house style, he's been part of London's club scene since the early 80s. Now, sadly, his name has come up in a rape case; he's been bailed for the alleged offence, only to be taken in by an old friend, himself a DJ with legal problems - Boy George.

On Saturday 10^th January, UK tabloid The Sun's website reported that Boy George has allowed Anthony Marnoch (aka funky house DJ Fat Tony) to use his home as a bail address, after his release on bail following arrest for the alleged rape of a 12-year-old boy .

The in famous UK paper claims that it informed Judge Daniel Pierce that Fat Tony's bail address was Boy George's house. George, of course, who's recently been found guilty of illegally imprisoning a male escort in his North London home. Unsurprisingly, the man with the wig wasn't very happy about this.

Judge Pierce called it 'entirely unsuitable' that Fat Tony stay with George, adding, 'It is the actions of The Sun that have drawn the court's attention to the unsuitability of the address, and I am grateful,' the Sun reported. Fat Tony's legal team attempted to keep his bail address private - they are usually legally protected - but in what the Sun called 'an important victory for press freedom' Judge Pierce said there was 'not a significant risk' to Tony receiving a fair trial on May 11.'

No, you're right Your Honour; headlines like, 'Boy George takes in DJ bailed over paedo rap' are in no way prejudicial… let's hope the jury read a better class of paper!
