(Ghent, BE) - Oh I Love Techno, where did it go wrong? The once quintessential Belgium event for all forms of techno has turned more and more to electrohouse affair, with this year's edition seeing the sound of pure techno being pushed to the far background. And on top of it all, fidget-house posse Crookers will be mixing the 2009 compilation... *sigh*.

2008's compilation was mixed by Boys Noize and we can't really say we were overjoyed with the result. And things are getting even more odd this year. Techno seems to have switched roles from being the event's main focus to a minor element, as this year's edition sees fidget house, electrohouse and its hybrids dominating the lineup. Crookers have been asked for the compilation, which has become a rather eclectic one with the boy's trademarked sound firmly stamped on it. Be that as it may, we still believe the organisation should opt for a name change next year... I Love Fidgeting, anyone?

I Love Techno will be held on October 24th in Ghent, Belgium.
