Dance Valley Media and Xpander

Look at all pictures:here

Traditionally, Dance Valley had been on the forefront with its Internet production. In the past years, they have gained back that control.

This year, there are 2 independent video streams for viewers. They can swap between 2 signals. For their optimal pleasure, all live streams from the Dance Valley festival site are being streamed in both Windows Media and QuickTime and people can choose between small- and broadband versions.

Apart from the video, 2 independent MP3 audio streams are offered. DutchView, part of the Dutch NOB, is taking care of the encoding and hosting of the data traffic to the Internet. All signals are sent to the Dutch Media Park via huge broadcasters where all data will be encoded. A total of 12 streams are made and offered via www.dancevalley.com

Each hour, interviews with guests, (inter)national DJs and crew are done from a special Internet studio on the festival site.

Of course Internet users can interact on the things that are happening on the day itself. For every stream, a chat box has been opened so people can leave their responses. These chat boxes are being taken care of by Pimpernel.com. On the Dance Valley website, viewers can also give their opinion on which act they prefer to hear by use of a poll.

Chats from the Internet studio, as well as live news editing via the Dance Valley website, are done by Partyscene.nl and yes: Xpander.nl

What can you expect from Xpander at Dance Valley?

Xpander will be updating you with news, interviews and reactions from the festival site LIVE! Together with reporters from Partyscene.nl (a Dutch on-line dance and lifestyle magazine), we will keep you up-to-date about what's happening during the festival hours. Through our pop-up application, which will refresh automatically every 15 minutes, we will bring everything about the International side of the Dance Valley Festival 2002.

You can either check out the Dance Valley website for the live video/audio streams or you can stay on Xpander during the day and follow the festival from minute to minute reading the news that's coming straight from the festival site.

In addition to this: our Xpander TV team will shoot 4 movies that will be broadcast in one of the live streams on the day itself!

Below we have given you the exact times and topics of the 2 different LIVE video streams, make sure you do not miss one of the most exciting broadcasting events ever done in the world we call: DANCE!
